Kakhaber and Natia Chkhaidze
This ministry has also helped the Sunday school classes of the church to grow and new villages to be opened for evangelism. Many times I have been in charge of organizing training sessions/ seminars for the purpose training people from various churches how to use the Samaritans purse boxes and discipleship material to effectively reach the children in their church or village. This summer an American team came from Samaritans Purse and I helped organize some new areas for them to pass out boxes and share the gospel.
My wife and I work together in camp ministry and have 12 years of experience in organizing camps. The past 2 years we have had 47 kids in camp ranging in age from 5-16. Both years I have seen God work in the hearts of the children that came and many decisions were made for Christ. I have been responsible for sending various people from our congregation to camp training seminars so they would be more effective in ministering in camp ministry. We would like to be able to expand our camp ministry so we can reach even more children and one day have our own camp facility. Camp ministry is very effective in Georgia at reaching children and then their families for Christ. I have a burden to reach the people of my country and see them come to know Christ as their personal Savior.
Funds needed for Ministry:
Camp Ministry/ funds for camp facility: $150,000
Samaritans purse: $500 per year (for organizing events and transportation)
My name is Kakhaber Chkhaidze and I have been ministering at the International Baptist church of Tbilisi for the past 6 years. I have been a Christian for 25 years and have been involved in a variety of ministries during that time. My wife Natia and I have two children ages 16 and 5.
In connection with church related things I spend a lot of time at the government offices solving the various issues that come up. In Georgia things can take a long time to accomplish and it can take many trips to various government offices to solve a problem or get a correct answer.
I have been a volunteer for the past 19 years in the Samaritans Purse organization. Through this ministry I have seen God open many doors for the opportunity to preach the gospel.
